Wow, no comments at the lovely and generous walk-through by the Zenonia dev? (Thanks!)

I'm a little surprised, as this game seems to be mythic in gamer-terms.

(I am not a gamer, nor have I ever played Zelda, but like Peggle pre-launch hype, I am getting progressively more excited about Zenonia. I will surely buy it when it comes out)

I find it strange how no other company has put out a game nearly as good as this one. This is going to be #1 for a long time.

The Zenonia fans are over at Toucharcade and iPodTouchfans forums.

This game is gonna be HUGE this weekend!

It's out now, if anyone cares :)

I've played half an hr so far.. this is one of the more polished games on the app store, I think.

ZENONIA!! $5.99.

Thanks for the heads up!

EDIT: There is already a review on the App Store, by one "KillaCam". HMMMM. Usually reviews have a 24 hr lag before being posted. That was even Peggle's case. Since Zenonia is bound to sell in the millions, I don't think that's the developer team doing what so many do -- posting phony reviews. Still. Strange.

I got it on it's release day. For some reason the D-pad took more getting used to than other D-pads. I haven'tplayed a lot of RPGs, so the hunger bar and other stuff take some getting used to.

At first I disliked the character graphics (kind of simple), but it's grown on me some.

I much prefer the action in this to Chronicles of Inotia, since feel I have more control over my character.

So far it's just been growing on me, and I'd say it was worth the money.

+1

Cronicles has been removed from my phone in favor of Zenonia.

Can someone tell me where I can find the "dark merchant"? It says he only comes out at night and I swear Ive been in every inch of the town during the night and cant find him

Also, what is with the crack house's? Do they do anything?

Not sure about the crack houses. Think they are just another building in the town, where you might meet interesting people. But I've not yet. But then agai, I'm only level 15, so hardly experienced.

As for dark merchants, I think you find them around the inn at c.2am but the time frame varies. They sell spells & weapons and things but you need lots of gold ;)

Go to the house next to the Armor shop, and try to hit the container at the center of the room. The Dark Merchant will appear and offer a quest, he'll also tell you that he is at the Inn every hour between 2 and 5am, so that would be 2, 3, 4, and 5am you can catch him.

Always handy having someone who actually knows... :) Thanks

Thanks!, now you say "the house next to the armor shop"...which city are we talking about, Adonis? (first town) or Hades (second town, snowy)?

EDIT: nevermind, found it! (in Adonis)

Crack Houses

In every city when you go into the crack houses and hit the jar in the middle of the floor the dark merchant with pop out and offer you a quest. Usually killing a certain number of specific creatures. And yeah hes at the inn between 2-5 selling different items each hour.

Where is everyone in this game?

Im level 74, in the cave of chaos or whatever on my way to kill Ladon...

It sucks because im finding items for level 99...even though the monsters are only level 77.

Has anyopne tried the rpg game Zenonia.

I merged you into one of our threads on it... since you brought up TouchArcade, there's a much, much more extensive thread there...

I got it last month, I think, at $2.99... I played a bit of it (I'm at level 26 I think) and got sidetracked when Civ Rev came out. It's fun, but I don't personally enjoy the battle very much (the battle is definitely not action RPG in the sense of what battles are like in the Zelda games), and even with some of the tweaks, I feel that there's a lot of "leveling up" -- wandering around killing monsters to raise your level because you're not tough enough to play the next part of the game -- involved. Unfortunately I feel like to play though the game probably 20% or more of your time is spent in leveling up.

Also there is a sequel on the way...

So! I'm wondering if I have a glitch in my version. I get to the point of Regret's first big decision. It always makes me say yes, putting me down the evil path. I want to try both ways but I have replayed to this point about five times and it makes me do the same thing every time. The D-pad is completely gone in that window and when I tap the screen it automatically picks 'yes' whether I want it or not. I've even tried tapping on the 'no' but that hasn't worked either lol.
Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? I have the iPod Touch 5th generation and I got the game only just like two weeks ago.
