I am just having a conversation on the Macrumors gaming forum about the Oculus Rift and its 60fps minimum requirement. So I'm wondering can a rMBP hit this and for what detail level and for which games:

The test :

-load up a game in bootcamp (for best performance)
-set its resolution to 1920 x 1080
-turn off AA
-record the average fps for high,medium,low detail
-post your system spec and what your results were

If you hit 60fps don't stop see how high you can get the fps (without changing resolution) as apparently the higher the fps the better.

A spread of 3D games would be handy:

Half Life 2
Portal 2
Crysis 1,2,3
Bioshock 2
Bioshock Infinite
etc

ps
If you are feeling daring try 1440p resolution and post the results as the oculus may have upgraded its screen for the retail

Ok I'll start us off:

I have a 17" early 2011 MBP, 2.2ghz i7 6750m 8gb ram
Bootcamp - Windows 7

Left 4 Dead 2
settings = everything low
res = 1080p 16:9
fps = 75 to 110
