Gaming controllers for Apple TV 4 (can I use Xbox One or Ouya controller?)

I understand that both the Ouya or the Xbox One controllers are bluetooth, but I am unable to pair them with my Apple TV 4.

Has anyone been able to do this? Any tips?

I would like to be able to reuse one of these controllers rather than buy a new one

You can't use them. Only "Made for iPhone" or "Made for Apple TV" controllers work.

EDIT: If you want to buy one, get the SteelSeries Nimbus. By far the best one available at the moment.
