Gaming on Mid 2012 Macbook pro Hi-Res

There is a lot of thread on Macbook pro Retina about gaming and frame rate. But what is the performance on Hi Res Macbook pro when it comes to gaming. Is there a frame rate hit compare to Standard Res. I am playing Diablo 3, Battlefield 3 and some Flight Simulator X on Boot camp.

Should be good.

I play Portal 2 on Steam on a 23" External on my 2011 MBP. Works fine.

Battlefield 3 should be more GPU intensive than Portal 2, but it should be fine.

I'll guess slightly less performance in the cMBP when playing at the same resolution due to the GPU.
