Gamma adjustment

I got 2 new monitors and their gamma adjustment is out of whack. When I try to do the built in gamma adjustment and I set it to 2.2 everything seems a little too dark is this normal?

It could be that with the other settings such as brightness and contrast, it is too dark with the 2.2 gamma setting, however you should still usually keep it on 2.2 and adjust the other settings accordingly.
