This goes out to all the white apple device users, but anyone can comment on here.

As far as we have known, Apple devices have a black border around the display and the faceplate (dead space)

Do you think that this border will potentially shrink with time to come (in future devices?)

I sure hope so ;););)

Do you think that it could happen?
What is your opinion about it?

PS this is what I mean:

Thats what all the concepts have for the last 5 years or so, a edge to edge display without "dead space". Its only a matter of time when Apple pulls the trigger.

This is one of my biggest cribs with White/Gold versions and that gap is almost never aligned ... i mean the screen will never be in dead center ...

All the Android flagships have got rid of that gap that this year ... much apparent with White models ...

And most of them with color options have ended up with black faceplates anyways, like LG G3, Xperia Z2, Oneplus One, Find 7, HTC One M8, etc...

LG is the best example of this .. how they went from G2 to G3..

G2 (huge black gap) !!

G3 (black faceplate and little gap)

Fwiw, maybe it would be nice if apple had edge to edge, but it doesn't bother me in the least.

Looks like the 6 might have less but there will still be some edge. On some of these edge to edge phone, you got to wonder how easy it would be to damage the screen with even a small dent causing a screen issue.

It sure looks nice!:apple:

i don't know the engineering reason why Apple decided to go with a small edge, but i don't mind the way it looks.

I think it sets the phone off nicely.
