Hey everyone I recently purchased a DVD full of sound files and loaded them into my itunes. When I open a new project in Garageband, I drag the sound file I want into the timeline but it slows the tempo of the sound way down. When I change the tempo slider up and down it seems to do nothing. ive searched in preferences and everything and cant figure out why the file is not matching up with the tempo of my project. can anyone help me out? thanks

Bones

It's probably because GarageBand thinks it's a song that you dragged into it, and I'm sure there are some copyright laws that might prevent it from doing so. Even if it is just an audio clip like you said, if it's in iTunes, GB can't really touch it too much... maybe it's just too complicated too.

go into the effects panel on the right, and look for tempo or speed or something.

I dont feel like opening it right now, but I'm sure theres an effect for tempo somewhere.
