Hey Folks,

I've puttered around in Garageband a few times in the past, but have never really done too much with it. Now, I have an audio track I would like to cut up and export the second half of the track to an mp3 file. How do I do this? I played around for about an hour earlier today to no avail.

thanks in advance!

Do Edit, Split where you want. Then delete the part you don't want to be exported. Then do Share, Send song to iTunes. For the encoder, do MP3. This will not show up if the compression box isn't checked. The audio track will be in your iTunes as an MP3 file.

I am trying to do a similar thing. I recorded a track and want to cut off a few seconds at the end of the track. I split it where I want the track to end but when I delete the little nub at the end, it deletes the entire track! I tried the delete key and edit > delete and they both do the same thing. This is really frustrating, I want to just go back to Nero on Windows. Any help?
