Garage Band Missing Instruments

There are a lot of missing Garage Band instruments, does anyone know why?
I have iLife '08 and I'm pretty sure it's up to date. If I click on an instrument it says would you like to download a new set of loops so if I hit "Download Now" it checks for updates and then says it's up to date.

Same thing happened to me, but I don't use it enough to persue the problem. A quick re-install should fix the problem.
