Hi all

I've recently started using Garageband 10.0.3 on my mac mini yosemites .
I have added a number of parts to a song using the smart strings instrument in orchestral. Played in using my m-audio keystation 61es. The smart strings sound has 3 distinct sounds which I can vary whilst playing and recording. These are a slow (quietish) bowing sound, a staccato quick bow sound and a pizzicato plucking sound. I mostly wish to use the staccato and pizzicato sounds in my current piece. I can obtain these using the modulation wheel on my keyboard. However it seems to variably default to the slow bowing sound despite being recorded in pizzicato or sticcato. This is variable. Sometimes the current sound is there for one part of the song and then reverts later in the pice despite being recorded in the desired modulation. I have tried adjusting the modulation in garageband after recording within the edit function but as yet am having no real success. It's becoming very frustrating and have even phoned apple who's helpdesk were unable to resolve the issue. I am now considering playing the entire part back through my old studio, recording it and playing and editing it back into garageband witha consistent sound. This would seem some waht longwinded for simething which I feel should be straightforward!

Any help would be much appreciated

Many thanks
