GarageBand 3.0 Backward Compatibility

is it possible to open a GarageBand 3.0 file with GarageBand 2.0? I've tried it, but got an error message stating that "the file was created with a newer version of GarageBand and cannot be opened."

Is there a patch or something that will address this? Is it possible to save a legacy version of the file in GB3 so it can be opened w/GB2?

Nope, there's just no way to do it.

If it's any help, you can access samples recorded in your song by right clicking it and choosing "Show Package Contents." You might then be able to rebuild it from scratch?
