I'm pretty new to this computer music-recording business.
I just purchased a g4 powerbook and I have been reading up on the best ways to record a good ol' acoustic guitar into GB. Seems like folks are digging the Mobilepre and similar for USB, or a simple mixer like the Behringer UB502 Eurorack to convert XLR to 1/8" line-in, or even XLR-to-1/4"-to-1/8" line-in via various adaptors. fine and dandy.
Here's my question:
I already have a Boss BR-8 digital recorder. Is there a way to run the signal from the BR-8 out to the powerbook? essentially use the BR-8 as a pre-amp. Will GB recognize the BR-8 signal? If so, what is the best way to do this?
thanks for the help. it's very neighborly around here.
