Hello,
I'm a newbie when it comes to Mac, Garageband (GB) and Midi related topics so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My questions are as follows:
1) Can I connect a drum pad device such as this Yamaha DD55c directly to my iMac? I suspect the answer is NO because it doesn't seem to have a firewire or usb connection, it only offers a Midi in/out.
2) If the DD55C only supports Midi in/out, would i connect the drum pad to my iMac via a Midi controller such as the m-audio ozone
3)If Garageband was actually able to interact with the DDFFC, do you think I could program the DD55C to actually play samples I've created in GB? For example, let's say I'm playing my regular drums, I could hit one of the pads to trigger a sample taken from a .mp3 or that was previously recorded/created?
Thanks for your help and I apologize if this isn't the correct forum. Let me know and I'll be happy to remove it.
Thanks,
Matt
