Is anyone who is running Mavericks experiencing Garageband crashing. After I download GB from the App store, its been happening to me intermittently. And I can not see a pattern that causes it.

No, haven't noticed crashing on Mavericks / 2013 MBA 8GB RAM.

I DID however notice that Apple severely dumbed GB down. Try using Amplitube, try adding any Apple or any 3rd party effect to an individual track channel strip. Can't be done.

Try to use EZDrummer. It's no longer possible.

Major MAJOR suckage.

Ah, thanks for answering that question.

I've been trying to get Amplitube to work in GB all morning and couldn't figure out how!

Sigh

I think I can help you out; go to your Applications folder and GarageBand 6.5 is still there. I've read that the reason some softsynths and effects don't work and don't show up in the menu is that GarageBand 10 is 64-bit and thus your softsynth or plug-in must be rewritten for 64-bit. Happily, I now have both versions of GB installed.
