so say you never played a musical instrument really but still want to make a song. can garage band enable you to do this. note i have no instruments so id be relying on the keyboard.

what brought this on was that i was trying to make room on my hd and was going to uninstall gb until i played around with it and thought it was pretty cool lol

You can loop a number of things together and use the keyboard as a quasi-MIDI instrument if you want but you're not going to create anything groundbreaking.

In the end though it is fun to mess around with.

With patience and talent you could easily create ground breaking music.

Garageband is a pretty open tool

Yes there is no reason why you can't create anything as good as anything that has ever been written.

You can use the editor window at the bottom to place whatever software notes you like whereever you want. So you don't even need the keyboard to place the notes.

I'd suggest that you do an ebay search for some Jam Packs, I'd recommend the 'Remix Tools' and maybe the 'World Music' pack.
