Garageband doesn't like 48 KHz

Hi , I take the recording from my DAT and file it digital through Audiofire 2 into Audio Hijack ...
Now I try to import this file into Garageband ... works , but evrything is too low ( about 3 notes ) voice and music ...
Please somebody tell me how to configure this combination ... Thankyou :D
