Garageband gain?

Hi,

Im just sussing out garageband and stuck at how to adjust gain to a single piece in a track on the loop part.

If i put say dance pattern 11 and put it 12 times across a track , how would i reduce the gain/volume at say the middle 4 without it affecting all the track?

Drag the middle section onto a new track and reduce the volume for that track only.

Aah why didnt i think of that. That could get very messy though couldnt it. Does logic/cubase/ableton live/reason or any others allow you to adjust gain in the same track for every piece?

The last version of GarageBand I used (09 I think) had track automation options for volume and pan. Try searching for "Automation" in GarageBand's help.
