hi there guys,

I am so sorry if this thread already exists but im really awful at finding the right one.

Here is my problem. I am using a 2010, 250gb 4gb ram macbook pro - Lion OSX 10.7.2, with garageband '11 and a keystation 61es usb input keyboard.

It has been working fine up until recently when i play music and the audio drops in and out. There will be a long while of uninterrupted audio then the audio just drops in and out for a sec then is fine, then will do it again, which makes for very irritating music playing. This only happens in garageband. No other audio issues at all with my mac. This makes me think its the keyboards input that is the problem. I tried changing usb ports, checking each end of the usb cable input etc... but no luck i still get the interrupted audio.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks so much in advance.

xx
:)

Use Midi Monitor to check if the keyboard is transmitting midi data correctly. If it works without interruption, the problem is probably with GarageBand.

hi there Jolly jimmy, thanks so much for your reply.

I have installed the program and tested it out, there appears to be no problem but its hard to check as there is a new input every time i press a key. I will use it to monitor if i notice the interruption again but, typically, when I tested it just now there was no issue so I'll keep an eye on it and if there are more issues I shall call upon this thread again.

just out of interest, If I found it was an issue with garageband, would there be any appropriate checks to perform? or settings to change?

Thank so much for your input!
