Garageband loop issue.

So here is what is going on. I was playing around with garageband today and when I clicked on one of the loops (not all loops did this), it told me that I would have to install the loops, so I clicked "Install." It installed a 1.2gb package and told me that I would have to restart garageband to finish. When I relaunched garageband, almost all the loops are missing apart for some premade loops that are already 3o seconds to 3 minutes long. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I have tried to install the software bundle with the dvd that came with my MBP and check all software updates but no avail.

BTW: here is the picture of shaded areas where the loops are missing and such.
