I just installed GarageBand and I'm not getting any sound output.
I have a Yamaha DGX-640 digital piano connected to my computer via USB. I installed the Yamaha USB-MIDI driver and I'm trying to use it with GarageBand. I get a message saying a MIDI device has been connected and GarageBand also shows 1 MIDI device connected. When I hit keys on the keyboard, that little dot in the GarageBand display lights up indicating that everything should be working.
Sound works fine for everything else on the computer but I can't get anything to play through GarageBand.
Anybody know what might be causing this?
Is there a way to delete GarageBand completely so I can reinstall it? I was messing around with the system sound settings when the GarageBand install completed so I exited out of the GarageBand intro setup. I have the settings back to normal now but I'm thinking the differing sound settings during the install might have thrown something off.
Thanks
