Hi. I record a weekly podcast using GarageBand. I used to use a Mac mini for my recording but I sold it and am now using my 2011 13" MacBook Air. In retrospect getting rid of the mini was probably a bad idea, since the air seems to get overworked more easily.

The fan kicks on frequently and the resulting noise ends up getting captured by my mic. I was wondering if there were any tricks or software I could use to keep the fan from kicking on so frequently? I know this is probably unrealistic, but I figured I'd ask.

Thanks in advance.
