I was doing some recording in Garageband. I recorded several tracks separately (vocals, drums, guitar.) At some point in the process (I'm not sure how it happened,) the drum and guitar tracks that I recorded become somehow "embedded" into the vocal track, which was first track I recorded.
Now when I mute the drum and guitar tracks and play only the vocal track, I still hear the drum and guitar tracks. All three tracks have somehow combined into one and I am not sure how to make them separate again. Even when I try deleting the drum and guitar tracks, I can still hear them in the vocal track.
Also, all of the tracks were recorded using a mono microphone input. However, the "combined" track, that was originally just the vocal track, now shows up as two lines, as though it was recorded in stereo.
Can anyone explain to me how or why my separate tracks got stuck together? I need to make them separate again in order to continue editing.
