Garageband Problem

Everytime i try to start garageband it just takes forever to load and then a window pops up saying... result code = - 36.

after that every applications on mac is slow!
 
Try moving the pref file for GarageBand to the Desktop. Spotlight search Garageband and find the files ending in .plist, then restart the application. this might fix the problem, just don't delete that file, till it reopens. As far as taking forever to load that is normal IMO.

Also don't forget to repair permissions.
