How do I fade out a track in garageband? I imported a song file I have and did so cutting and splicing an want the end to fade out slowly but can't gifure hout how to do it.

I think you do 'view > show master track'. Then it shows you a main volume for the entire composition and you can add markers to the line to fade up and down.

Fading in and out

If you want to fade out every instrument pull up the master track. It is under the Track menu. From there you click a spot on the line where you want the fade out. There are 2 spots, where the fade out begins and ends.
If you want to fade out one instrument you click on the down arrow on the tracks label thing and make sure track volume is selected in the pull down menu. Then you do the same thing as the mastertrack only this controls one instrument.
