I can't create a new file in GarageBand. When I try to create a new file it just Quites, no "unexpected" crash report or anything, it just loses its blue dot. I've tried uninstalling, removing preferences and support files, and then reinstalled from the disk and applied updates, still nothing.
I never had this problem before, and I'm pretty sure the last time I was successful with it was after I installed Snow Leopard, so I don't think its an SL issue.
But, I did install some software from Avid called Sibelius 6 and I'm thinking it was a plugin called ReWire that was the problem, but I removed it (at least, I think I did, can't find ANY documentation on how to properly remove it completely). When I tried to open GarageBand it did give me a message about something about General MIDI needing Sibelius open to run and can't be shared with GarageBand. Hasn't come up since, I can't get past the screen with the various options to create a new file.
Any one have idea? Maybe where exactly this plugin might be?
