Garageband Static

So, yesterday i recorded a reggae guitar track, then over it a new track with a reggae bass line. Everything sounded perfect, then today i wanted to record our singer and everytime we tried, we got this lame static. LIke the mic was on too loud or something. All three times had identical forms of recording...using headphones and the built in mic.


Any ideas on the static?
