Ok, so this is what I've done so far and I would appreciate any help in resolving.
Basically, we recorded live drums to a metronome of 158 bpm in a Garageband that, for the sake of it, we should called project A. I spent ages editing the drum track to get it in good shape and ready to go for the guitars to be tracked to.
Unfortunately though, when the time came to track guitars, my computer wasn't working so I just took the mp3 of the drums from project A and dropped it into a new GB project, entitled Project B.
Now, before I did this I should have changed the tempo of project B to 158bpm too. However, I neglected to see the tempo was set to 105 and just tracked 10 takes of guitar on to one track.
Now my computer is back up and running, I need to take the guitar tracks from Project B and put them into Project A. However, when I try and cut and paste the tracks from B to A, it cuts them off and only shows 2/3rds or so the audio tracks. My elementary investigating shows that that is because there is a difference in tempo.
Is there any way around this? The guitar tracks are currently purple but I was wondering if there is anyway to get them orange so they don't change length when I fiddle with the tempo or cut and paste them into a project with a different tempo? Basically, I don'y want to lose all the guitar tracks I recorded because of some tempo issues between projects and need to edit the guitar tracks in project A as they were recorded to that tempo.
DOes this make sense? Can anyone help? Thanks!
