i recently carbon cloned my mac os x drive to a fw drive, so i could resize my partitions. after i was done resizing, i cloned the fw drive back to my mac os x drive; everything worked just great. however, garageband no longer works for me when i try loading it up. it just crashes, and i get the unexpected quit message. all i see is the box saying that garagebznd is initializing for a few seconds, followed by the unexpected quit dialog box.

does anyone know why this is so? i even removed all the garageband files from my drive, using finder's search funtion for garageband and reinstalled the app, but i still get the same problem. any ideas on why? garageband worked fine before i cloned the drive.

Try deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iApps.plist or other preferences global to iLife. Your search may have missed these, and they are confusing GarageBand.
