I gave my mAudio keyboard away a few months ago and I see now that that was a mistake...I have a tune in my head that I want to fiddle with in Garage band and have no input device!

...is there a way that I can use my regular keyboard to enter notes?

If by "regular keyboard" you mean your Macs keyboard, not a piano.
Then yes, sort of.
In Garage Band go to "Window>Musical Typing" (command+shift+K).

Hey, how about that! Thanks!

I haven't played with Garage Band since I got the new iLife (which was when I got rid of my keyboard), but I don't remember this feature in the older version...

I don't know how you could do that. When I got my M-Audio it was love at first note! Then when I got the mac, and connected the mAudio not knowing that it would work so seemlessly!!!!! Oh MAN!

Best thing ever. I feel for you, and hope that you will find a means to get a new one soon!
