Could someone tell me why my GarageBand file won't open.

I recorded a live speech for 1.5 hours using GarageBand. When I clicked on it, it won't open.

The file is clearly saved and it's huge. I can't even open the package to play in iTunes, but why can't I play it in GarageBand itself? After all, it's a GarageBand file.

Garageband file problems

Garageband has an annoying bug of setting some of the audio it record to be 8-bit, and it can't play 8-bit sound files.

I wrote a fixer for this, but what it basically does is extracted the audio files from the song whilst converting them to WAV. Its been a godsend to send of my users.

However I did a free fix for a young college girl who had a project interviewing people and garageband had recorded a large section of a 1.5 hour interview at 1/4 speed.
