So, today I tried to use GarageBand (version 5.1) to open an old Garageband file I made in 2005 (it was on Panther, I think with the original version of GB.)

Unfortunately I get this error:

The same goes for every song I made back then and it seems to affect every drum track. Clicking Search just results in a "not found". I have all system updates installed and all the GB Jam Packs installed. Running 10.5.8. I still have my old eMac system restore DVDs so I might see if I can copy loops over...

Anyway, any help at using old GB projects in a newer version?

And here is a screenshot of what the actual tracks look like - look at the "File Not Found." Same goes for all the other drum tracks.

Any help is appreciated :apple:

OK, still getting the error after importing the loops from the original GB into the new one (dragged and dropped the .aif files onto GB, it said it imported them. The files are certainly in GB now, I can see them in the loop browser and play them... they just don't show in the actual project like they were when I created them.

Same errors if I launch the version of GB I created the songs with (version 1.0 (7))
