So I recently had an archive and install done, and haven't used GarageBand since. Today I used it and upon opening a project it said "No Apple Loops Found." These are the preset beats, and melodies and such that you can put into your songs. Is it likely these were somehow erased when the archive and install was done? Would I be able to install them with the apple applications disc without completely re-installing GarageBand?

Archive and install, even with the preserve user settings checked, doesn't "preserve" everything. Some third-party apps may no longer function, and even some of Apple's apps will no longer function as expected.

Bottom line is you will need to reinstall Garageband.
