garbled calls since 3.0 update with 8gb 3G iphone

Hey my friend and I both have 8gb 3G iPhones (AT&T) that we updated to the 3.0 software yesterday. We both have been have been having trouble with calls sounding very garbled and broken up. Lots of static etc. Is anyone else having trouble with this?
