I wonder if anyone is seeing something strange going on in the Finder window. When I use List View and scroll up or down, the file and folder names become unreadable and I see a checkerboard-like pattern. The image below illustrates the problem. If I scroll away from this area of the finder window or resize the window, sometimes it clears up on its own. Genius Bar is going to replace the Video Card but since this ONLY happens in Finder, I'm not sure that is the problem. Anybody else seeing this.

There is a known graphic tearing issue with Lion in finder. Apple is working on a fix for it. I can easily reproduce it. What you are experiencing is a lot more extreme then I have seen. You did not mention what revision of iMac you are using.
 
Interesting as neither AppleCare nor Genius Bar Manager mentioned the problem and have orders me a new vid card. I have iMac 27" i7 2011.
