Hey guys! I know this isn't something we normally talk about on here... but here goes:

I am a proud mac owner and love everything about them. However, I have come to the point where I need a second mac and making a hackintosh seems like the way to go here. The computer I need to hack is a Gateway DX4320-17

Does anyone know of a website with a good guide for hacking that model? My own googleing hasn't helped much.

Thanks a ton for your help!!!

Ahhhhh yes, I've heard that before

I also have an MSI laptop... I'll get the model number if needed. Main specs are as follows:

Intel 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo
4GB ram
320GB HDD
ATI Radion 3400
And all the regular modern day laptop stuff. (DVD, usb... etc)

Can THAT laptop be turned into a hackintosh?

Thanks so much for you help!!!

The only problem you might have is with that HD 3400, I don't think there is a kext/driver for that..

You could probably install Snow Leopard on your gateway machine, but it will be tricky, and you probably won't be able to do system updates, but should work fine..

Might wanna google : Snow Leopard Phenom II

Ok, last resort. I have a desktop that I wasn't planning on using for this project, but now it seems to be the best option. Specs are as follows:

Intel 2.33Ghz Core 2 Quad
8GB ram
Nvidia GeForce 9500 GS (Found kext)
750GB HDD
All the standard modern desktop stuff

Can THAT pc be turned into a hackintosh? And if so, how would I go about doing it? The online guides I have found have not helped much
