Seriously, what's w/ the sharp corners on where the hinge opens the monitor. Probably worst design ever. Other than that, the MBP Unibody is pretty nice.

I fee like sanding down the damn thing.

You are not suppose to put weight on that part of your hand / palm. If you do, you WILL get carpal tunnel syndrome.

You could try sanding it down, others have been recommending that.

Yeah the OP is talking about the back where the monitor is. My question is why your hands are back there anyway?

Uh oh

I rest my wrists on the edge along the bottom, could that cause it too?

Yes, your wrists should float above the keyboard NOT rest ever... ;)

I find it more straining to have to hover my wrists! Guess that's the downside to using a laptop as opposed to a correctly height-adjusted seat and proper keyboard on a desk.

I switched to notebooks exclusively over 4 years ago and I must admit I cheat on my posture when just browsing around. But as soon as I go to type something substantial my hands naturally switch back to proper form.

(I guess I did learn something in those High School Typing classes)

For those of you with notebooks. Do yourself a favor and buy an iLap. It has a rest for your wrists.

Instead of sanding, you should use something like a bastard file. That will get those corners nice and blunt!
