you would get more going to craigslist, but if you want hassle free sure. It is the most cash you will get from a website unless you want amazon money.

White AT&T 64GB. Recently replaced by Apple, so mint. Not unlocked. Should I go for it?

If I were eligible for a subsidized upgrade right now, yes, I would take the Gazelle deal! Sell for $400 and buy the 5 for $200; sounds like a deal to me.

Sounds pretty good. I have a deal to sell my 32GB privately for $350, so $400 from a service like Gazelle is probably about as good as it will get.

If you try to sell ANYTHING that doesnt say Apple iPhone 5 after 4pm today.. you're in a losing battle. Take the $400. Because tomorrow that price WILL drop.

Be forewarned - I have friends that have sold their phones back to Gazelle. They sent in their phones thinking they would get the top value - in your case $400. A few days later, they were notified that their phones are in OKAY condition and is offered an amount significantly lower than the top number.

Here are some reviews/complaints

can you always request it back if that happens?

The last time I sold them a phone, they tried to low ball me so I threatened to post every blog I knew about how crooked they were being. An apology and the corrected quote were in their next email to me.

Since I only sent them a recently replaced/refurbished iPhone, I knew they had to correct it.

Seems like they do that to a lot of people. Because most people's mentality is .. well okay, It's already out of my hands now. so I guess i'll take the $XXX

The $320 cash isn't bad at GameStop. I'm going to take my GFs white 64GB 4S up there later today :) I hope it doesnt change after the release

Never tried Gazelle. I guess there are a few complaints?

I traded in other handsets a few years back via an eBay program. It was not auctioning, it was an electronics repurposing company -- like Gazelle -- that they partnered with. It went smoothly, and I received the appraised value of all of my devices. I wonder if eBay is still running this program...

Last time I tried Craigslist in my area, all I got wee people who wanted me to give it away. No one offered me much at all. And that was a flawless 3GS.

So you hold out. The key is to OVERPRICE it on Craigslist. You want it for $400? Price it at $450-$500.

If it's a mint/near mint phone, those prices aren't unreasonable. That's originally a $749 phone.

Just gotta know how to work the system man.

Skip Gazelle? That's all you got? Thanks for nothing.

Really?? I posted above!

So here's my situation: I have a Black 64gb AT&T iPhone 4S that has a small crack on the front. I have the Best Buy Black Tie protection which gives me free replacements. I used it once before and the phone I got back was refurbished, but it was "flawless" as far cosmetics are concerned and worked perfectly. So I'm thinking about doing the same thing again and using the money towards an iPhone 5. As of 5:30ish pm right now they are still offering $400..... Input?? Thanks!
