I don't get it :(

Woof, Woof - Dawg

It's a company selling ram at 256GB per one chip!
The latest MacPro is max 32GB (8x4GB)

Everyone wants more ram these days (so I guess it went over your head a little, or you just saw the word Porn? ;)), it's a slightly geeky idea that one day we might want this this much in our lives...

And what would happen if you had that much ram?
It's just nuts!
I got by on 2 for years, now I have 6 in a machine that takes 32 32GB (8x4GB)!

And this company sells 256GB per one chip?!?!

Light Speed?

:D

It just made me laugh...

for most users, it wouldnt mean anything at all

well if 8GB is $265.99 (source) how much would 1,000GB (i'm pretty sure that's what 1TB is) cost?! a lot...

as to the legitimacy of actually having 1TB RAM there are others who have better answers to i'll keep my mouth shut.

Just off the top of my head (and my maths is pretty sh*t) I'd say (about) $125,000.00

or $19,000.00 from a recent website find....

Who knows, but the point I'm making is, will people want this amount? Will people use this amount?

In the future...

You could run your whole house, configure your personal car's OS, all from one system, so why would the idea of having 1TB ram (in the future) seem so crazy?

hahah oh man . and clearly some people will want it but won't be able to justify it, but i guess there are some out there that could put to use that much memory.
