I did notice this thing on other laptop but just got across this article that it has a quite number of test on hit

I ofter read about Geekbench result over macbook 2016 m3 around 4996
and the about 2017 model around 6891 but in this comparison often is not mention Geekbench version
and it seems that scores change a lot, I guess the Geekbench is not an absolute score but relative to the version the PC is tested with, and I thing is quite odd

in the article is reported as multicore
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2017/06/mini-review-the-2017-macbook-comes-into-its-own/

m3 2016 -> 6450
m3 2017 -> 6891

that is quite different from 4996 vs 6891

anybody with macbook 12 m3 2016 could run the geekbech test after reboot and with no application open?

thanks
