Earlier this year Yahoo changed it's public weather APIs. Not only did this kill some of the weather iWidgets on my iPhone it led to the death of a carefully cultivated and applied set of geeklets for Yahoo weather on the desktops of my 17" PowerBook G4 and 17" MacBook Pro.
Today, because I am nothing but tenacious when it comes to something I want, I decided to search (again) for a new weather Geeklet.
Turns out someone had some modified scripts that STILL call Yahoo but actually WORK!
So, here it is again, the desktop of my 17" PowerBook G4 with Yahoo weather. You will note the moon phase monitor and the weather icons on the top right. That is not the geeklet(s). That is Yahoo Widgets and I am using Werewolf Monitor and Widescape Weather - which both still work.
The main weather icon next to the moon phase monitor as well as the text for forecast and location are the Yahoo weather geeklets.
Nice to have this back again!
