Geektool broken

Installed geektool3 but when i try to make a shell the little grey box appears but disappears when i try to drop it on the desktop.... nothing else happens... the properties panel is there but no shell appears on the desktop... i can't get it to do anything ....

You aren't running Lion by chance, are you? This was a known issue and was fixed in an update. Try checking out their site and downloading the latest version.

I am running lion, i downloaded the top link from the website should I of gone with a different one?
I only see one version of 3 listed, it says mac 10.6 or earlier...
does that mean I have to use 2 or does anyone know of anywhere else to find a fix

Had a look through in the desktop thread and decided to give Geektool a shot. Had the same problem as OP and this is what I came up with. Still tinkering/learning but drag-n-drop seems to work as expected.
