Geektools?

Hey guys, I've seen some amazing examples of what can be done with Geektools from their screenshots and I realllly wanna do that kind of stuff with my desktop. Any good sites with tips and tricks to check out? I'm kind of a complete beginner and don't wanna risk an untrustworthy site tricking me into deleting my hard drive through geek tools..

Any help would be appreciated.
