Just got a new G4/400/Gigabit with some upgrades. Came with a Geforce 4MX, ADC version with ADC+DVI.

Works fine in OSX, but I'm getting a black screen while booting OS9 and it hangs there.

I didn't think this card needed drivers. Are there some I need?

It's the stock card of my MDD which boots OS 9.2.2 fine with it.

What is the version of your OS 9?

Also, I would try resetting PRAM.

Seems like I fixed it! Just downloaded the Nvidia drivers from Macos9lives. Not sure what was wrong with the ones I had, though...

The standard version of OS 9.2.2 was released on Dec 5, 2001. After that, there were variants of it released to support newer peripherals and newer Macs. GeForce4 series were first used in PowerMacs in 2002. So the OS 9 you have may need the driver.
