Hi everybody, I recently upgraded the graphics card in my Mac Pro 1.1 from the original GeForce 7300 GT 256MB to a GeForce GT 640 2GB, When I boot to a hard drive with OS X 10.7 Lion with the 640 installed, it works normally (although with no boot screen as expected), so the card works fine with my Mac.

The problem is that wneh I replace the hard drive to one with Mavericks (installed using tiamo's bootloader) I get no video output, my monitor keeps black, and inside About This Mac I get "No displays detected".

I installed the 7300 back again and it booted to Mavericks normally (yes, and it is pretty much unusable with that video card), so I know that the installation of Mavericks was successful. The weird part is that the GeForce 640 is recognized by Mavericks, take a look at the screenshots, but it doesn't output any video to my monitor, even though with Lion it does.

Am I missing something? What could be wrong here?

BTW: I installed the nVidia drivers for OS X 10.9.5 but same issue.

EDIT: I booted just with the 640 installed through screen sharing, and I got what you can see in the last screenshot, Maveriks recognizes it normally

Thanks for your reply.
