iPod touch Gen 1 iPod Touch scrolling

For some time now my first gen ipod touch has been scrolling very poorly. I have reset it and started over several times. Any idea why this might be happening. It is running up-to-date software and is only about 1/2 full of stuff. Thanks!

Experiencing the exact same issue with my first gen. Tried the same remedies as you too, with the same (lack of) result. It used to scroll smoothly and quickly.
