Gen 1 MBA won't connect to Wifi after battery drain

I have a Gen A MBA (1.6 80GB) and a Airport Exreme Base Station. The wifi on my MBA has been working fine until recently when I when on a trip and the MBA was at home unplugged. The battery was completely drained. When I charged it, the clock was set to a date before 2001 and the system asked me to reset the date manually, which I did. Ever since then I can't connected to my home wifi. I have tired repairing my permissions, remove my wireless network from the network preference and add it back etc but still no luck. Any one has any ideas how to fix it?? Thanks!
