I'm using a convenient little $9 APP called OFFLINE DISKS FILE SEARCHER - that's exactly what it does, and for $9, it does everything I want it to.

my query: I'm trying to move the APP and the info it contains to my new system (Mac Mini, Mojave). When I copy the app, it copies only the program itself, and NOT the info.

I do a search for support / library files, and I can't find anything, other than a "plist" entry in the CRASH REPORTER folder.

I can't find the app creator, a company named SHI LIU (I don't think that's Italian!), or I would look for customer support (or something).

is there any general way to find the support files and copy them to the new system?

(In a very long thread, elsewhere on this forum, I discuss why I decided NOT to use the Apple Migration Ass't in this instance.)

thanks for any feedback!

Support for that app is here - https://twitter.com/liushiv/
The link to that is on the App Store page where you downloaded that app.
I saw one post there that tells where the support files are located:
~/Containers⁩/⁨com.liushi.DiskShot.HQ⁩/Data⁩ /Library⁩/Application Support
I suspect that file location listed there is not complete, and SHOULD be
Code:
~/Library/Containers⁩/⁨com.liushi.DiskShot.HQ⁩/Data⁩ /Library⁩/Application Support
Easiest way to get to that location is to copy and paste under the Finder's Go menu -> Go to Folder.

thanks ... that does appear to be correct.

but, my bad, even after copying what seems like 36+ GB of files to the new system, the program does NOT seem to have the correct info from the old system. rats!

I wonder, is there a terminal command that could automatically copy all those files from the old system to the new? could anyone come up with such a command?

thanks again!

Thank you!

The problem is that I truly hate Twitter and don't know really how to post anything on a Twitter page. (In fact I didn't even know that there was such a thing as a Twitter page.) I guess I shall try to figure it out! If that's all they got, I don't have much of a choice, do I?

Anyhow thank you very much!

PS: didn't mean to sound ungrateful! Merry Christmas to you and everybody else here on this incredibly helpful forum!

PS: Okay, I signed into Twitter, and sent them a message (I guess that's a direct message?)

Happy Holidays! I purchased OFFLINE DISKS FILE SEARCHER on the Mac App store a few months ago and I like it very much. Question: I am trying to move the program and the information (that I have already gathered) to a new computer. I would like to ask: what specific files do I need to move? what files contain my personal specific data do I need to copy? Hope that you can help. Can you eMail me directly at wfriedwald@gmail.com? Merry XMAS!

thanks again!
