Generally speaking - how long "Ship to store"

Generally speaking - how long does it take to have the item arrive at the apple store, once the status has changed to 'shipping to store' ... obviously, this will depend on the departure location and the location of the store. I did notice, however, that my original 'pick up date' was modified when the status changed - and I was just curious if that is a true date (or if it may come in earlier - based, of course, on any personal experiences that you guys may have had).

Mine arrived at the store 5 days or so before the original estimated date.

They updated it when it shipped and then sent me an email and text on the day it arrived (the earlier date).

Mine was due on a friday, I got the notice for pickup monday of that week.
