Generation 3 AEBS vs New AC

Simple question, don't get why it hasn't been asked.

I have the 3rd Generation Airport Extreme, works well, what I'd like is just *more* coverage on the outer spots in my house. I don't have any 'ac' clients, just want more stronger signal that goes farther, make sense? Thanks

Add another new extreme to extend the network.

I get better range - 1 2013 ac extreme gives me complete coverage vs before needing 2 latest/5th gen extremes. Majority are Apple n devices.
