iPad mini generic smart case can damage the magnet in retina iPad mini?

I have bought in eBay cheap cover folio stand case for my iPad mini retina and I found out that when I close the case there is a lock sound so I figured out that this is what called smart case. the problem is if the case move 1mm he make the sound lock again.
I afraid that this cheap case can damage the magnet lock in my iPad.
should I buy a branded case or mine is ok?

These wake capable cases are tampering with the internal mechanisms of the iPads. I wouldn't risk it myself. I'd rather spend money on authentic covers.
